Unique Chinese Fergana Cloisonne Horse is depicted with its hind legs bent and its left foreleg slightly raised.The horses' body features various abstract, floral and geometric forms in multicolored enamels in the cloisonne cells on a light blue enamel field. The detachable saddle has an overall floral decoration and a floral medallion in the center executed in multicolored enamels on a dark blue and dark red-brown enamel field. There are also 12 dangling medals which embellish the horse's harness and bridle: the medals are in the shape of flowers and leaves, and are executed in multicolored enamels. It is the work of the later half of the 19th Century, Is in very good condition. This horse measures 18-3/4" Long, 14-1/2" High at the head and 6-1/8" in maximum width (5" Max width without saddle). The horse is fitted on a wooden stand. This horse has been appraised by Asia Art Associates, Los Angeles, California.
